As the 2019 general elections draw near, a number of people have a few questions on their lips, “Who do we vote for?” or “What are our options?”

Inclusive societies make stronger societies and that is what Africa should be aiming for. Africans, particularly Nigerians also need to acknowledge and better understand the obstacles preventing inclusion in democratic governance. One way to go about this would be to identify measures based on successful examples in overcoming exclusion from political decision-making as we prepare to head to the polls next year.
