The Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF, Trust Fund) has secured a $1 million grant from the Rockefeller Foundation to promote Impact Investments in Ghana.
Chief Executive of VCTF, Daniel Doku said the development would help increase investment in areas that will create wealth for Ghanaians.
The VCTF is aimed at promoting investments in areas that enhances social development and reduce poverty. The facility from the Rockefeller Foundation is expected to boost advocacy in social development and poverty alleviation.
The Venture Capital Trust Fund was established by ACT 680, 2004 of the Ghanaian government; it was conceived as a strategy to provide low cost financing to businesses so they can grow, and stimulate jobs and wealth creation.
