German organic foods manufacturing company, Bruno Fischer has launched two of its flagship products in Nigeria, the choice of Nigeria is as a result of the nation’s status as a hub market for Africa which has continued to attract foreign companies.

Globally, business analysts have highlighted the significant opportunities and potential in African investments, thus stimulating investors seeking higher returns to look beyond Europe, the  Americas and Asian markets.

The foray into the Nigerian market marks Bruno Fischer’s first investment in Africa and it is leveraging the capability and consumer insight of a local firm, Sanura International Ventures to market Bruno Fischer Salad Mayonnaise and Tomato Puree products.

While explaining the uniqueness of the two products, Sanuara Ventures’ investment advisor, Steve Agwudagwu said the difference lies in the fact that being organic, the raw materials are naturally produced without additives, chemicals, synthetic fertilisers, pesticides, antibiotics and biotechnology.

“Mayonnaise is low fat, contains no artificial colours and no preservatives,” he said.

Concerning Nigeria, Agwudagwu said the need for organic foods is significant, especially at a time when Nigerian consumers are seeking foods that can improve their health status.

“The objective of Sanura is to market and sell quality organic foods and nutritional medicine products to health conscious people in Africa, and to attract foreign manufacturing concerns in that segment into Nigeria,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of Bruno Fischer, its export manager, Sonja Kiechle stated that the aim of Bruno Fischer has been to “supply people with healthy and still delicious foods that are pure, natural and processed as little as possible”.

Bruno Fischer produces various categories of processed health foods, which in addition to Mayonnaise and Tomato Puree; include cornflex, milk, seasoning cubes/powders, natural supplements. They are all 100 percent organic without involving genetic engineering.
