Reports from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil indicate that  BTG Pactual bank,  the largest independent investment bank in Latin America,  has launched an Africa-focused private equity fund to attract Brazilians to invest in Africa.

The investment bank,  headquartered in Sao Paolo,  made the disclosure in a statement by the bank’s Chief Executive Andre Esteves.
